In this video, AMP Capital’s Head of Investment Strategy and Chief Economist, Shane Oliver explores the key things to watch in the upcoming Budget. He says that the reality is that government revenue is worse than expected and as a result we’re likely to see yet another blow out in size of the Budget deficit. We expect no major cut-backs to welfare and if there are any tax hikes, they’ll likely focus on areas where the people paying the tax don’t vote.
