** The benchmark is the weighted return of the Mercer Unlisted Property Index (50%), the S&P/ASX 300 Property Accumulation Index (25%) and the UBS Global Real Estate Investors Index (25%).

Reasons to invest

  • The potential for consistent, stable income and capital growth.

  • Access to an established portfolio of high quality direct properties including prime Australian retail and office assets.

  • Access to the scale and resources of AMP Capital, one of the largest direct property managers in the Asia Pacific region managing over $15.6 billion* with extensive property investment experience.

  • Higher liquidity than investing only in direct property.

How we choose property investments

We manage the AMP Capital Core Property Fund with the aim of generating both income and capital growth.

To achieve this, we invest in a portfolio of listed and unlisted property securities in Australia and overseas, managed  by regional property specialists in Australia, Europe and North America. Our choices are designed to be well-diversified geographically and by property type, offering a variety of sectors such as office, retail shopping centres, industrial and even residential dwellings. Our reasoning is that combining different types of property assets can produce a better risk and return outcome than by investing in a single type of property investment.
