We are committed to sustainability
We take environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues seriously, in our own operations, and in our investment decision-making. That commitment is demonstrated across our business, through:
- Our community through our support of and/or partnering with community, government and charitable organisations and their initiatives at the local, state and national levels
- Our marketplace by acting with integrity and fairness as we work with stakeholders to deliver and report on sustainable investment performance
- Our workplace with a sustainable work environment whilst enabling our team to maintain an effective life balance
- Our environment with a reduced environmental footprint for each of our properties, achieved by actively reducing our energy and water consumption and increasing our rates of waste recycling
AMP Capital is committed to responsible investment and environmental initiatives, including upholding the:
- UN Principles for Responsible Investing (UNPRI)
- Energy Efficiency Opportunities Act (EEO)
- National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Act (NGERA)
But we are reaching further
To make sure we are trying harder for the future, we have set ourselves these goals for 2012:
- To act together to build and maintain a corporate responsibility culture in our business
- To achieve the broadest impact in delivering meaningful corporate responsibility outcomes
- To be the industry recognised leaders at evolving properties for sustainable performance
We have established an Environmental Committee chaired by AMP Capital’s Managing Director, comprising key business leaders from our Infrastructure, Property and AMP Workspace divisions to ensure this happens. Our Environmental Committee has oversight of these environmental initiatives together with other waste, water and energy saving programs. We are serious about our commitment to the future.
