Global Property Securities Fund
![]() |
Investors have long benefited from investing in Australian listed property - enjoying high income, strong returns and liquidity. In recent years, merger and acquisition activity has led to fewer stocks in the Australian listed property index. In a market that is one of the most highly securitised in the world, investors are faced with fewer investment opportunities. In contrast the growth of listed property securities around the world has led to the development of a genuinely global market that is now available to Australian investors. |
Introducing the Global Property Securities Fund
The Global Property Securities fund provides investors access to listed property securities around the world. The Fund aims to give investors the following benefits:
- a genuinely global portfolio of property securities listed on stock exchanges in the US, Europe, Asia, and Australia.
- greater diversification by accessing a range of property companies and sectors not available in the Australian listed property market.
- investment specialists on the ground to capitalise on local knowledge and spot the best opportunities in each region.
- a focus on property securities whose primary source of revenue is rental income.
Larger universe of stocks
The global listed property market offers investors access to hundreds of property companies and sectors. For instance, on stock numbers alone, the EPRA/NAREIT Global Real Estate Index has around 250 stocks while the Australian Listed Property Trust index has less than 25. The Fund gives investors opportunity for diversification by investing in around 60 to 70 stocks, in more than eight different sectors across 20 countries.
Management Capability
The Fund benefits from the property securities investment skills of AMP Capital Investors and KG Redding, LLC, with teams on the ground in Sydney, Chicago, London and Singapore.
