Global Head of Infrastructure
Phil is responsible for the overall infrastructure business and has been with AMP Capital since 2002. Phil has over 25 years experience in infrastructure spanning project management, construction, strategy, development and investment and funds management in Australia, Europe and Asia. In Australia, Phil is a director of the listed Rivercity Motorway Group and Chairman of Diversified Utility & Energy Trusts (DUET) as well as several others of AMPCI's unlisted investments. Prior to joining AMP, Phil was Chief Executive Officer of Tenix Infrastructure and was also a long-term senior executive with Lend Lease Corporation, culminating in his role as CEO of Lend Lease Capital Services, with development and investment management responsibility for a number of infrastructure projects in the region. He also spent two years in Singapore developing Lend Lease’s Asian infrastructure strategy. Phil is a Member of the Barton Group (a Federal Government initiated group with the role of developing the Australian environmental industry) and has a degree in Building and the Advanced Diploma from the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

 

Greg Roder Greg Roder B.Sc. (H), Ph.D., MBL
Head of Infrastructure, Australia

Greg is responsible for the Australian Infrastructure business. He has 25 years experience which spans the resources (mining and gas/oil), electricity and investment banking sectors. Prior to joining AMP, Greg held executive positions with Esso Australia, Macquarie Bank and Standard Bank of South Africa, as well as with independent listed energy companies. He has worked across Australia, sub-Saharan Africa, UK/Europe, North and South America and China and has a strong record of influencing and structuring deals, restructuring business units and achieving improvement in shareholder value through commercial, asset and people investment and enterprise transformation.

 

 Rob Gregor MComm, ASIA
Head of European Infrastructure
Based in London, Rob is responsible for managing the Strategic Infrastructure Trust of Europe (SITE). He has over 12 years of treasury and asset management experience, and since joining the AMP Group in 1997 was instrumental in establishing the Corporate Treasury operation in both Sydney and London, including both domestic and European borrowing programs. Rob spent five years in London working for AMP’s asset management business where he was responsible for global strategic development of the business and corporate finance/M&A holding a business management role as a member of the European Management Team. Prior to joining AMP, Rob worked for Bankers Trust, Ernst and Young, and TNT Limited.

 

Anoop Seth Anoop Seth MMS (Fin)
Co-Head of Asia
Based in Mumbai, India, Anoop Seth will be responsible for AMP Capital’s planned growth in the India and Asia markets. Mr Seth was previously Executive Director of ABN Amro, India where he was responsible for public sector business. His role will include being Managing Director of AMP Capital’s existing Indian Infrastructure fund, The Infrastructure Fund of India (TIFOI). In addition to Indian experience, Mr Seth has also held senior finance and infrastructure roles in the Middle East and in the USA. These include CFO of Infrastructure Development Finance Company (IDFC), Vice President of Bechtel Enterprises based in San Francisco and Vice President Finance of Reliance Industries.


 Paul Foster MA, BComm, ASIA
Head of Portfolio Management

Paul is responsible for portfolio construction and management of a number of our major infrastructure portfolios, including the Infrastructure Equity Fund (IEF) and large single client mandates. Paul’s activities include managing interests in each of the portfolios' underlying assets, maintaining portfolio construction in the context of their investment strategies and objectives and making recommendations relating to acquisitions and divestments. Paul has more than 16 years of financial markets and asset management experience across mainstream and alternative asset classes. Previously Paul was responsible for managing AMP’s private equity fund of funds program. Prior to joining AMP Capital in 2000 he worked for Macquarie Bank and Perpetual Investments in funds management roles.

 

Nish Patel Nish Patel BSc (Econ) Hons, ACA
Investment Operations and Portfolio Manager

Nish is responsible for investment operations and portfolio management of our infrastructure business. Previously Nish was Director of Finance, leading the financial management of our business as well as contributing to the strategic direction of our company. Prior to joining AMP Capital, Nish worked at Thorn-EMI Asia Pacific as the Finance and IT Director focusing on strategy implementation, mergers and acquisitions. Other previous experience includes General Manager of finance and strategy at David Jones Ltd, Chief Financial Officer at Household Financial Services Ltd, and Manager, Corporate Finance with Ord Minnett. Nish commenced his career with Arthur Andersen & Co. in London, and has worked extensively in Europe and Asia.

Portfolio Manager
Mar has more than 12 years experience in Australian and offshore Infrastructure. She has extensive experience in origination and execution, consortium formation, asset management and business development. Prior to joining AMP Capital, Mar was a senior member of Spanish construction and infrastructure firm, Ferrovial. As Managing Director of Ferrovial Aeropuertas Australia, Mar managed Ferrovial’s investment in Sydney Airport and was involved in several strategic projects, such as the Qantas-T3 acquisition and A$4.6 billion refinancing. She also worked in Ferrovial’s Madrid office as a member of the Corporate Development team, bidding for European transport assets and undertaking opportunistic refinancing of existing assets. This included Board representation for Bristol Airports and the £350million refinancing in 2005.

 

 Andrew McGregor CA BBus
Head of Debt Advisory

Andrew is responsible for Infrastructure’s dedicated Debt Advisory team, who seek to optimise capital structure efficiency of new acquisitions and existing investments.  The team also provides key front office operational services to selected clients and advises on hedging strategies and policies.  Responsible for all major debt advisory transactions, Andrew is the primary interface for over 20 relationship banks, finance lawyers, monoline insurers and rating agencies. 

Prior to joining AMP Capital in 2003, Andrew worked for United Energy Limited in a number of senior finance positions and was involved in the company’s IPO, the sale of its retail business (firstly to Pulse Energy, then the subsequent sale of Pulse Energy to AGL), the IPO of its telecommunications business, Uecomm and the integration of Multinet Gas.  Andrew trained as a Chartered Accountant with Aurthur Anderson.
