The AMP Capital Sustainable Share Fund seeks to invest in companies that meet financial criteria to generate long term investment returns as well as social and environmental criteria.

Investment objective

To provide high returns over the long term while accepting high volatility. We aim to provide a total return, after costs and before tax, higher than the return from the benchmark on a rolling 3 years basis.

Investment strategy

Our Sustainable Alpha investment process is an active, bottom up approach that systematically integrates environmental, social and governance factors with financial measures to gain deeper insights into a company's growth and risk elements. Our process includes:

• quantitative review
• fundamental research and
• assessing sector risk

Our sustainability research into a company covers:

• Investment in Industries of the Future (eg. healthcare, renewable energy, mass transport, education and water and recycling);
• Investment Leaders in Corporate Social Responsibility (eg. finance, property and retail); and
• Integrated financial analysis (company must meet financial criteria related to valuation and momentum)
