The Infrastructure Fund of India
Fund overview
In 2004 we launched The Infrastructure Fund of India (TIFOI). Total commitments raised for the fund amounted to US$102 million (A$134.6 million).
TIFOI was set up to provide investors with access to infrastructure in India. It invested in non-listed equity (and equity-linked) securities of entities engaged in the development, ownership or operation of infrastructure or infrastructure-related facilities and projects in India. The fund focused on included sectors such as:
- Transport – airports, ports, roads, transport services and logistics
- Telecommunications – wire line, wireless, cable and electronic media
- Energy – oil and gas transportation, terminals, distribution and pipelines
- Power – generation, transmission and distribution
- Industrial Infrastructure – industrial parks, transport parks and dry ports
- Social Infrastructure – hospitals, schools (and other education)
TIFOI is a closed end fund, which is closed to new subscription, and has been fully invested.
