AMP’s purpose of ‘helping people manage their financial well-being so they can enjoy the future they want’ is itself an important social responsibility. Throughout our long history, we have been intertwined with the community through our customers, planners, employees and shareholders.

We believe in acting in a socially responsible and ethical way. This behaviour makes good business sense and creates value for all our stakeholders.

AMP Capital Investors interacts with the environment in a number of ways, both directly and indirectly. This includes the use of property, natural resources and other materials, waste generation and transport to conduct our international operations. We also invest our customers’ funds in commercial operations around the world, which have their own environmental impacts.

Within its property division, AMP Capital Investors aims to continually improve direct environmental impacts by reducing usage of water and energy, managing waste responsibly by minimising contribution to landfill, and taking environmental and OH&S concerns into account when managing existing, designing new or through acquisition of properties or refurbishments.

AMP Capital Investors Office & Industrial has developed a framework that concentrates on four key areas with personnel assigned as champions to focus on each element. These include;
