Stephen Dunne Stephen Dunne - CFA, BBus (Mgt & Mktg), MBA, ASIA
Managing Director, AMP Capital Investors

Stephen Dunne joined AMP Capital Investors in 1994 and was appointed Managing Director in 2004. He has over 21 years experience in investment management both in Australia and in the United Kingdom. Prior to being appointed Managing Director, Stephen held a number of roles within AMP Capital including Director of Client and Marketing for Asia Pacific and Director of AMP Asset Management for Australia and New Zealand. Stephen sits on the AMP Capital Board of Directors and the AMP Leadership Team. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst, holds a Master of Business Administration from Monash University and is an Associate of the Securities Institute of Australia. Stephen is also a Member of CFA Strategic Advisory Board and a Member of St James Ethics Centre Advisory Council.

 

Mark O'Brien Mark O'Brien - BAgrSc, MBA, ASIA
Chief Investment Officer

Mark is responsible for the ongoing development and refinement of our investment capabilities within our Australian Equities, Australian Fixed Interest, Strategy and Economics, and Private Capital Investment teams. Mark brings to this role extensive experience across a broad range of asset classes in a variety of investment roles within AMP Capital, including Investment Director of International Assets and our multi-manager funds, Head of Australian Equities and Director of Marketing and Strategy. He was also Director of Investor Relations with AMP from 2001-2003 . Prior to joining AMP in 1992, Mark worked for nine years with ANZ in their investment management business.

 

Andrew Bird Andrew Bird - BSc Urban Land Administration, MRICS
Director and Chief Investment Officer Property

Andrew is responsible for AMP Capital's property investment and management business. Andrew oversees the portfolio management of property assets and the group's substantial property investment services. As Chief Investment Officer, he is responsible for overseeing the Property Investment Committees which govern investment strategy and strategy implementation. He has over 25 years' experience in the property industry in Australia, the UK and Asia Pacific. His property investment experience includes property management roles with APN Funds Management, Colonial First State and Potter Warburg Asset Management. Prior to investment management Andrew worked for property agents Richard Ellis (Melbourne and Jakarta) and PTS Widjojo (in Jakarta) and before that, the British Rail Property Board (London).

 

Phil Garling Phil Garling - BBuild FAIB, FAICD, FIEAust, AFAIM
Global Head of Infrastructure

Phil is the Global Head of Infrastructure. He is responsible for developing our range of infrastructure products for investors and leading the team in the identification and execution of new investment opportunities. Phil was previously Chief Executive Officer of Tenix Infrastructure, prior to that he was Chief Executive of Lend Lease Capital Services where he was responsible for the development and implementation of its strategy for the infrastructure sector. Phil is a member of the Federal Government Environment Industry Action Agenda, and a former Councillor of Environment Business Australia. Phil has a Bachelor of Building from the University of NSW. He also completed an Advance Management Program at the Australian Institute of Management and the Advanced diploma from the Australian institute of Company Directors.

 

Michael Clarke Michael Clarke - B.Eng (Electrical) Hons, MBA
Director, International & Business Strategy

Michael is responsible for the development of new products, enhancing existing products as well as the development and implementation of business strategy. A key focus for Michael is the development of AMP Capital's offshore business and relationship management with external business partners. Michael has over 16 years investment management experience. Previously he was the CEO of Goldman Sachs JBWere Investment Management where he was responsible for $5.5 billion assets under management, an Investment Director with Equitilink, and spent over nine years with Macquarie Bank. Michael has an MBA from the University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) from the University of New South Wales. He was appointed to the Board of IFSA in 2003.

 

Henry Capra Henry Capra
Chief Financial Officer

Henry commenced his role as AMP Capital’s Chief Financial Officer in July 2006, and is responsible for leading the finance, investment operations, fund accounting, performance analytics and mandate compliance functions and contributing to the strategic direction of the company. Henry has more than 25 years in senior management with nearly 20 years experience in the financial services industry. Henry joined AMP Capital following three years as CFO at Colonial First State, having rejoined the group following six years as CFO from 1994 to 2000. Henry has held senior divisional finance and operational roles at the Commonwealth Bank, BNP Paribas Asset Management and Barclays Global Investors. He commenced his career in audit with Chartered Accountants, KPMG.

 

Brian Delaney Brian Delaney - DipFS(FP), AdvDipFS(FP), FAICD
Business Director, Client, Product & Marketing

As Business Director of the Australian Sales & Marketing division, Brian is responsible for all aspects of the sales, strategic marketing and service of AMP Capital Investors’ institutional, retail and high net worth segments of the Australian market. He is also a member of the AMP Capital Leadership team responsible for the brand, strategy and risk management of AMP Capital’s business.

Prior to joining AMP Capital Investors, Brian spent 17 years at Prudential Portfolio Managers, where he was Director of Business Development. Brian is a member of the Conference of Major Superannuation Funds’ Steering Committee and has been a member elected Director on a couple of Superannuation Boards. He is a Graduate of the Executive Education Program at the Harvard Business School and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He also holds the Diploma and Advanced Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning).

 

Prue Milne Prue Milne - BEc, LLB, LLM
Executive Legal Counsel

Prue was appointed Executive Legal Counsel for AMP Capital in July 2005, following a three-year role as Board Executive and Company Secretary of AMP Limited. Prior to that, Prue was Executive Legal Counsel providing advice to senior executives in AMP’s corporate office in Sydney on wide ranging legal issues including acquisitions, integrations, ASX Listing Rules and Corporations Law obligations. Before joining AMP Prue spent seven years with Blake Dawson Waldron as an associate in their corporate and commercial group specialising in managed investments, trusts, public listings and mergers and acquisitions. Prue holds a Bachelor of Economics and a Bachelor of Laws from Monash University, a Master of Laws from Sydney University and a Graduate Diploma in Secretarial Practice from Chartered Secretaries Australia.

 

Sharon Davis

Sharon Davis – BA (Psych, Sociology), GrDip Bus (Law)
Director, People and Change

Sharon Davis has an extensive background in human resources in a diverse range of companies in Australia and New Zealand spanning public sector, engineering, management consulting, and financial services industries.  Sharon joined AMP in 1996 in the Banking subsidiary in New Zealand and then relocated to Australia into the role of Head of HR for Customer Service - Australian Financial Services.   Sharon has since progressed to HR Director for Executive Resourcing and Planning in the Corporate Office, then to HR Director, AMP Financial Services and Group HR and currently holds the position of Director, People and Change for AMP Capital Investors. Sharon’s experience is complemented by educational qualifications in psychology, employment law and commerce.

 

Peter Dale

Peter W. R. Dale - BA, LLB, MAICD
Director, Strategic Alliances and Partnerships

Peter is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with AMP Capital's key partners, while also building a business-wide capability in partnership management. Peter previously spent 19 years with Macquarie Group in roles spanning international business strategy and development, institutional sales and client service, and legal risk management. From 1996-2006, Peter was responsible for identifying and developing funds management opportunities for Macquarie in Asia and other major markets outside Australia. During this period, he was a director of Macquarie’s funds management joint venture subsidiaries in Malaysia, Korea and Taiwan, and acted in a number of management roles within those businesses. Prior to that, Peter was a senior member of Macquarie Fund Management’s institutional sales and client service team. From 1989-91, Peter was seconded as secretary to the Executive Committee of Macquarie Group, and from 1988-89 headed legal administration for Macquarie’s Investment Services Group. Prior to joining Macquarie, Peter was a solicitor for five years.
