Perennial Investment Partners added to Future Directions menu

Perennial Investment Partners has been added as a manager to the Future Directions Australian Small Companies Fund, and will manage 33.3% of the portfolio. The group will replace Renaissance Asset Management as the Fund’s value manager.

Perennial was selected for the quality of its small companies team who have backgrounds in funds management, audit and broking and benefit from input from the broader Perennial Value team; and for the discipline and quality of its investment process. Perennial's small cap business has solid alignment arrangements and a manageable level of funds under management.

The strategy of Perennial’s small companies team is to identify well managed, transparent and financially sound companies that trade at a discount to their fundamental valuations, with an underlying belief that good businesses are eventually recognised by markets and positively revalued.
